ONSITE CHAIR MASSAGE

Trigger points are nodules in the muscle tissue, commonly known as 'knots', released by local compressions or muscle stripping. Trigger points are frequently tender, refer pain to other areas of the body, and cause tension headaches.

TRIGGER POINT

THERAPY

After a warm up, your massage therapist may incorporate a gentle passive stretch to relax the body. Effective at lengthening the tissue and opening the joints, this type of stretchin requires no effort from you at all.

During a therapeutic massage, your therapist may ask you to engage the muscle being stretched for a period of time. Hold-relax stretching is an extremely effective tool at opening the body.

Strip and stretch is similar to chiropractic Active Release Technique. After a warm up, your therapist applies pressure to an area while simultaneously stretching it. Common in physiotherapy clinics and sports massage.

STRETCHING

TECHNIQUES

Keep calm and comfortable during your pregnancy with a pre-natal massage. We're equipped with pregnancy bolsters, and can help you with pregnancy-related aches and pains while you lie comfortably and safely face-down or on your side.

PRE-NATAL
MASSAGE

Proper breathing is an important aspect in releasing muscle tissue. Your massage therapist will give you instructions on how to breathe from the abdomen, breaking the stress cycle and easing uncomfortable sensations.

DIAPHRAGMATIC

BREATHING

Vacuum cupping uses negative pressure to increase blood circulation and break up adhesions and scar tissue found in fascia. Fascia is a connective tissue found throughout the body, innervates muscle tissue, and can cause pain and a reduction in range of motion when restricted. There are different types of cupping, and we typically use sliding cupping alongside massage techniques.

CUPPING

THERAPY

After a thorough warm up, a firm pressure allows muscles beyond superficial layers to be released. Pressure is relative and body sensitivity is always changing - be sure to communicate with your massage therapist to ensure your comfort and safety.

DEEP TISSUE

MASSAGE

A type of connective tissue, fascia weaves through layers of muscle tissue connecting the entire body. Slow, even pressure along with skin rolling is applied with minimal to no oil. Myofascial release techniques provide relief in the most stubborn areas of pain in the body.

FASCIA
RELEASE

Nurturing and soothing to body and mind, Swedish massage uses moderate pressure in a rhythmic fashion to help you unwind from day-to-day stressors.
